Possible diagnoses and why, in no particular order:

--general anxiety disorder - increasing feelings of anxiety, which become debilitating to the point of interfering with daily functioning; onset of occasional panic attacks

--borderline personality disorder - thought to be (sometimes) caused by early childhood trauma; manifests in unstable moods (depression, anger, mood swings that can be hours or days long), relationships, and behaviors; prolonged feelings of boredom/emptiness; often categorized by suicide

--internet addiction - marked distress if separated from the internet; dependence; skewed priorities

--life - hair and fingernails continue to grow
