I forgot to tell you: in the dream with the dinosaurs and the vampires, the bit at which said nightmare got so unbearable I couldn't stay asleep was when I was checking the greenhouse door and found it wouldn't lock. Apparently, dreaming you are locking doors means: that you are closing yourself off from others. You are hesitant in letting others in and revealing your feelings. It is indicative of some fear and low self-worth.

So what does it mean if you're afraid you can't lock doors because of what's on the other side? especially if what's on the other side symbolizes either outdated attitudes or things that're coming back to haunt you.

...wait. Ahh.

I always enjoy analyzing dreams, except in the way that I really don't. Because when you're attempting to remember them, they seem so much more rich and vivid and complicated. And then you try to write them down, and it's just, 'well, metaphor for things coming back to haunt you that you're afraid you can't close out; feelings of low self-worth because of things coming back to haunt you; attempts to close people out.' it's like everything that seemed so ridiculous and complex is really pathetically easy to see.
