it's 9:58 pm, on April 18, 2007 - ship wreck.

~

this is the dream:

you're suddenly on a ship, and it's sinking. most of the passengers have already died; you're one of the few alive. you make your way up to the top deck, which is rather like a cruise ship. there's a dead elephant on deck, and then a lion. you and a few other passengers lock the lion below deck, but then you have to get back down below deck for some reason, so you climb over the railing and try to climb down to the lower level, a parking level. the ship is a lot like a large BC ferry, actually. so you climb over and get your grip on the railing, and start to lower yourself to the level below, and there's this child that follow you. The child gets down farther a little faster than you, and is swept away by a paw. you feel something touch your foot, and you haul yourself back up above deck.

the weather is sunny and warm, and it's like the ship is parked beside the dock in Miami. cars are driving past you as you and the few other survivors yell for help. people in motor homes wave back.

To dream that you are in a disaster, represents your fear of change. You are afraid of not knowing what is in store for you in the future.

To dream that a ship crashed or is sinking, suggests that some aspect of your life is out of control. You are expressing some fear or uncertainly within your emotional state. You are afraid of losing something close to you because of certain difficulties.

To see an elephant in your dream, suggests that you either need to be more patient and understanding of others. The elephant is also a symbol of power, strength, and intellect. Alternatively, as a creature with an introverted nature, the elephant may thus be depicting your own personality.

To see someone dying in your dream, signifies that your feelings for that person are dead or that a significant change/loss is occurring in your relationship with that person. Alternatively, you may want to repress that aspect of yourself that is represented by the dying person.

To dream that you are attacked by a lion, indicates that you have many obstacles to overcome. You must resist the force that is driving you to self-destruction.

I'm not even going to start. waking up at six am because of an escaped zoo is not my idea of fun, especially when I'd already woken up a few other times. I'm so sick and tired of dreaming of shipwrecks. I get it, I get it. massive change, massive fear. can we at least get an earthquake, some other kind of natural disaster? why is it always ships?
