a. This is a long letter, but you are not at all bound to answer it. Possibly, if you do answer it, and direct it to Herman Melville, you will missend it -- for the very fingers that now guide this pen are not precisely the same that just took it up and put it on this paper. Lord, when shall we be done changing? Ah! it's a long stage, and no inn in sight, and night coming, and the body cold.

trying to come up with an appropriate wentzism to contrast, I am struck only by:

b. ST: What ever happened to the Bizarre Boys comic you were going to write with Grant Morrison?
Peter Milligan: I think probably Grant and I talked it into oblivion.
; and

c. in retaliation, he sends Ryan pls tell patrock i love and adore him which is, honestly, more grammar than Ryan Ross deserves, but it's Patrick. Patrick gets his song lyrics via text message and emails them back to Pete; Patrick only deserves the best.

It takes him two whole days - two days, instead of the two minutes it took in the era before Infinity on High was finished - to realize that Patrick never answers.

oh, *oh*, but mostly: d. Archie was happy to carry the conversation, and as glad as Greg was to take the invitation to breakfast, he was doubly glad when Archie's phone went off and he had to leave. Neutral at best was nothing to be proud of, and this was his life, and he was going to get used to it, and going to harden himself, and if he was unhappy about the situation, well, that was just tough fucking shit.
