think i've said it before, but the stories I love to read most are h/c one trues, the kind where someone pushes and pushes and yells and fights and things get ugly, but-- but "it's not like, three strikes and I'm gone, Pete. this is us. i might hate you for stuff, for a while, but it's three strikes, and i'm still here."

the fantasy that there are people in your life who love you enough that you can't push them away. can't write those, because I don't believe it. haven't ever believed it. but love to pretend.
