Since I've been That Girl recently - you know the one, the one that has nothing positive to say and keeps harping about how awful she feels - I thought I'd take a break from the abnormal psychology to let you in on a little secret--
There are so many things I do not understand about gayness and the bible.
Am I the only scholar who's considered trying to approach the early Christian church from the standpoint of analyzing the queer influences and homoerotic/homoaffectional undertones, based on probable social background and standing of the early apostolic fathers?
Apparently, yo, because all I can find is "The New testament and homosexuality" and "Early Christian friendship" which was so not pro-gay it's not even funny.
Gay! Early christian church social history! someone, where's the love?

--the justin and christina concert is a day away.
--my church history midterm is two days away.
--it's finally not like, thirty degrees out anymore. I'm wearing a sweatshirt.
--I owe UBC library almost $100. whoops.
--a panel of judges in Ontario ruled that the definition (either provincial or federal, I couldn't hear) of commonlaw marriage involving "a man and a woman" was discriminatory and unjustified
--the british columbian anglican church recognised a same-sex marriage a while ago. this isn't actually news news, seeing as how I heard about it the other week, but.
--Paul Anka is doing a concert at the casino here. I pray for Tom Jones to be next.
