I forgot-- this is the dream:

it's night time; you're in a van - van? trailer? large scale vehicle - and he's driving. you're in the back, maybe drunk, at least your perspective has changed. you stare up at the trailer's ceiling, high above you where you're sitting on the floor, and contemplate everything. when you stand up again, you find he's driven the trailer over four hours farther south than originally planned. it's the middle of the night, the middle of nowhere. you have figured out the secrets of the universe, and have gone past tired to delirious in the back of this trailer while he's been driving. he tells you the reason he went so far - which eludes me now - and that he's exhausted. then he says, he was counting on you to be awake enough to drive back home. you say, "then we'd better stop at a convenience store for caffeine".

To dream that someone else is driving you, represents your dependence on the driver. You are not in control of your life and following the goals of others instead of your own. If the road is dark, then it reflects the darker or more frightening choices which you have made or are making.

Caffeine is not listed.
