it's 11:25 am, on February 08, 2014 - daylight.

~

we're cheating a little here and back-dating one day to ensure the 'post once a day' thing continues; it is, currently, sunday, not saturday, and I'm speaking to you from the future.

on that note: the weather in the future will be sunny and gorgeous, full of light and brightness, washed out brilliant white reflections - but still so cold you'll want to murder people. A lot.

Other predictions: you'll wake up later than you did Saturday, because sleep and insomnia is a rolling problem ever-pressing later and later, making you wish you could move to a planet with a longer day. Thirty hours should do it: twenty for consciousness and ten for sleep.

or a space station. or a lonely star. or an asteroid. Ceres' day is only nine hours and change long, so three rotations would be a pretty good fit. and it's far enough away that you wouldn't get hardly any sunlight, anyway, so even with solar collectors and other technology to make your home appear to go from day to night, it would be a slight change, only.

all the better to sleep, my dear.
